Statistics Graph Windows

The following are all the statistics windows available under the "Progress Graphing" item of the "Application" menu. They are provided for feedback on your progress learning the list.

Session Statistics:

session statistics

Current indicates events (ie pressing the "Right" or "Wrong" - but not "Next" or "Translation" buttons) in the current session. The current session is defined as what has happened to the currently loaded wordlist after it was loaded. A "Right" entry appears as a 1, a "Wrong" appears as a -1. The individual events are recorded as dots.

MovAvg30 indicates the moving average of the last 30 events in the current session. This can be between 1 (all right) and -1 (all wrong). A positive value indicates you are getting more right that wrong, a negative value you are getting more wrong than right. Notice this statistic will not appear until you have recorded at least 30 right or wrong events, and when it does, it can change with each new event. It shows on overview of your progress during learning - from it you can see for example if you got distracted towards the end of your study session etc.

CurrentAvg indicates the average event in the current session. This can be between 1 (all right) and -1 (all wrong). A positive value indicates you are getting more right that wrong, a negative value you are getting more wrong than right. It is recorded as a horizontal line across the graph.

History Statistics:

history statistics

Current (as above).

History indicates events in the history of learning that wordlist. History is defined as what has happened to the loaded wordlist before it was last loaded. The history is kept in a file in the same directory and with the same name as the wordlist + "Stats" appended to its end. Removing this file will throw away any record of the statistics history. A "Right" entry appears as a 1, a "Wrong" appears as a -1. The individual events are recorded as dots.

MovAvg30 indicates the moving average of the last 30 events in the current session, as above.

CurrentAvg indicates the average event in the current session, as above.

HistoryAvg indicates the average event in the wordlist history.
